Samsung has announced today that its new wearable fitness tracker is now commercially available in select markets across the globe. The Gear Fit 2 is now available in the United States, Canada, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, and Australia. The company says that it’s going to launch this product gradually in more countries across the globe. Pre-orders have already been live for the product and starting today it’s going to be much easier to get your hands on this new Samsung product.
The Gear Fit 2 is a robust fitness tracking and activity measurement device that features an embedded GPS and heart rate monitor. It’s capable of automatically detecting the type of activity the user is engaging in and then tracks their progress. It has a 1.5-inch Super AMOLED curved display, functions as a standalone music player, and seamless integration with S Health. The Gear Fit 2 is compatible with smartphones running Android version 4.4 or higher with at least 1.5GB RAM. It’s available in black, blue, and pink colors. Prices vary depending upon the market.
