Extract the file downloaded
Launch UpdateTool.exe which is inside the Android 2.3 Update Tool folder
Click START
Make sure battery of phone is about 25%
Turn off the phone
Connect phone to PC while holding volume down button
Wait for process to complete.

To flash this ROM backup to your device, 

Download and extract the ROM
Create an new folder in your SD Card
Copy ROM contents into the new folder created in your SDcard
Boot into stock recovery (Press and hold volume up + Power for about 5secs)
Use volume keys to navigate to Backup and Restore
Select Restore with Power Button
Select the folder you copied the contents of the ROM
Wait for process to complete..
